Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples has been an American performer and actor for over 20 years. She has received best-recognition for her performance in Nashville The 2012 drama in which she played Layla Grant. She also was awarded the prize in Sharknado 2013, where she portrayed Claudia Shepard. She played the leading role Jerrica Jem Benton in the movie of 2015 Jem and the Holograms. Aubrey Peeples was raised in Lake Mary, Florida by the mother and father Wendy Ashley and Wendy Ashley. She is the older sister of Ally. Aubrey was an actor with Orlando Repertory Theatre during her growing up. Her speech was the valedictory of her class at Lake Mary Preparatory School. Harvard University admitted her, but she needed to be able to consent to her admission the second time because of her Nashville role. Peeples played on the screen in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011, Grey's Anatomy (2005) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2005). Peeples also played a frequent role on Necessary Rustiness (1991). She was in television films Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective (2009) as well as The Good Mother. She was a part of the cast for a major recurring role in the second season of the show drama Nashville where she played Layla Grant. In 2019, Peeples spoke about her bipolar disorder during an interview with NKD Magazine. Indiewire identified Peeples at the end of September as among America's best young actors.
