Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer who has gained recognition for her exceptional performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. She has won many awards for her performance, including an Oscar. Early on, the accomplished actress began acting on stage in a number of Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. From her early years she's always been enthusiastic in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. Mumps caused her to be blind and deaf in the one ear. But she refused to let that to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actress. In college she studied theatre and then moved from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dream. Hunter was stuck in an elevator with the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They collaborated to create Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. After moving into Los Angeles she tried to find film roles, and was able to secure the role of a co-star in Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in numerous movies, television shows as well as movies throughout the span of her 30-year career. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in addition to an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
